Treatments have evolved.
Let's improve
our attitudes as well.
Viral load is the amount of HIV per milliliter of blood. Antiretroviral therapy aims to reduce a person’s viral load to an undetectable level.
Being tested positive isn’t fatal anymore. The sooner you are on treatment, the sooner your viral load will be reduced and the less chance you have to transmit HIV to others
HIV is the virus that may cause AIDS. AIDS (for acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) is a condition, also known as HIV stage 3. AIDS develops when HIV has caused irreversible damages to a patient’s immune system.
By achieving an undetectable viral load, the risk to transmit the virus is reduced to almost zero. Less transmission means less HIV infections in the world.
